Martha Shaughnessy is the Founder of The Key PR, a communications agency mission-driven to tell a new story. A San Francisco native and mother of four, her consumer choices have been driven by ESG impacts before that was a term, starting with the hippie co-op she shopped at with her parents as a kid. As a communications professional, she knows it’s essential for companies to match intentions with impact and authenticity, and to do so with an eye on business performance, and is excited that Helm will help set clear guidance for customers as they navigate ESG.
At The Key, Martha works with companies from those emerging from stealth through public corporations, specializing in partnerships that require sharp strategy. Prior to The Key, she served as Managing Director for Grayling Communications’ largest US office, after joining through the acquisition of Atomic Communications, where she grew from an account executive to Managing Director of its San Francisco headquarters.
Martha graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a BA in Cultural Anthropology.
